Fighting cancer as only business leaders can.

The American Cancer Society's CEOs Against Cancer program is the premier partnership of world leading CEOs dedicated to eliminating unnecessary deaths and suffering from cancer nationally and globally in the 21st century. Our vision is to leverage the collective knowledge, power and resources of the American Cancer Society and business community to turn the tide of this epidemic and chart a path to a world with less cancer and more birthdays for people everywhere.

American Cancer Society in the Fight Against Cancer

Cancer affects almost everyone in some way, ultimately having a major impact on the workforce. The estimated total cost of cancer is more than $219 billion per year in health care expenses and lost productivity in the US. And with an aging population, health care spending is expected to rise 25 percent by 2030, with chronic diseases such as cancer, heart disease, stroke, and Type 2 diabetes accounting for 75 percent of health care costs.

CEOs Against Cancer members work tirelessly to support the American Cancer Society's efforts to save lives from cancer by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back. By supporting those efforts, members will impact the course of cancer and improve employee productivity, foster a healthy corporate culture, and reduce organizational health care costs.

The American Cancer Society provides member companies with the latest information and
resources they need to help their employees stay well and get well. This includes programs that help improve employees' chances of quitting tobacco, services to help manage weight through proper nutrition and physical activity, and information on cancer prevention and early detection. The Society can also assist employees through a cancer experience by providing much-needed information and support to make informed decisions about treatment, transportation and lodging assistance, answers to financial and insurance questions and emotional support.
